This collection was born from a creative challenge to create more organic shapes with my fabric painting. Instead of the highly controlled painting by brush that I had been exploring I used a different method that allowed the fabric dye to flow more freely. I let my hand do the painting instead of my head. Each piece of fabric began to emerge with its own personality. This was a welcome step away from the perfection that I usually demand of my work and toward a new creative freedom of expression in the process and the final pieces.
